After many months of soul-searching, countless conversations, and more tears than I can count, I have made the incredibly difficult decision to close the Rosemary Breman School of Dance.
This is, without question, the hardest decision I have ever had to make.
This studio has never just been a business to me. It’s where I grew up. It’s where I spent so much of my childhood beside my mom. Since losing her, it’s also been one of the biggest pieces of her that I have left. Letting go of something that holds so many memories is heartbreaking.
Many people may not realize that for the past several years, I’ve also worked a full time job while running the studio. Balancing both, along with raising my two young boys, has become increasingly difficult.
As a child, I remember not always understanding why my mom had to miss certain things because of the studio. Today, as the owner, I finally understand. Owning a business often means putting it before your family. While I have loved every moment of continuing my mom‘s legacy, I’ve realized that my boys are only little once, and I don’t want to miss these precious years. They deserve more of me, and that’s ultimately why I’ve made this decision.
To every dancer, parent, teacher, volunteer, and supporter, thank you!
Thank you for believing in Rosemary Breman’s dream when she opened the doors in 1982, and thank you for allowing me the privilege of carrying that dream forward since September 2020. The memories we’ve created together, the friendships we’ve built, the laughter, the performances, the competitions, the recitals, and watching so many dance dancers grow into confident young people are memories I will forever treasure.
My heart is full of gratitude. Thank you for trusting me with your children and for making the Studio feel like a family.
While this chapter is coming to an end, I will always be proud of what this studio has meant to so many families over the past 44 years. I hope every dancer who walked through our doors carries a little piece of the Rosemary Breman School of Dance with them wherever life takes them.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting us and being part of this incredible journey.
This goodbye is one I’ll never be ready to say, but I will Be forever grateful for every single one of you.
With love,
Lauren 💜
