As we come into the last month of this school year, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Reesor and Mrs. Bowden for their outstanding leadership, dedication, and care for our school community.

We are congratulating Mrs. Reesor on her retirement! Her years of service, commitment to students, and support of staff have left a lasting impact that will be felt for years to come. We wish her all the happiness and adventures that retirement brings.

Mrs. Bowden has been appointed to the role of vice principal at Notre Dame! While we are sad to see her leave our school, we are excited for her as she begins this new chapter at ND. We thank her for the positive influence, encouragement, and leadership she has provided to students, families, and staff alike.

Together, they have helped create a school community where students can learn, grow, and thrive. Thank you both for everything you have done. You will both be greatly missed, and we wish you nothing but success and happiness in your next adventures.

At the same time, we are welcoming Mrs. Stadler as our new principal for the 2026/2027 school year! She comes to us from Ottawa, and we are excited to welcome her to the St. Mary family.

In June, we celebrate Pride Month and reaffirm our commitment to building school communities rooted in dignity, belonging, compassion, and care!

We believe that all people are created in the image and likeness of God and are loved by God. During Pride Month, we recognize and celebrate the identities, experiences, and contributions of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, while continuing to listen, learn, and grow together.

Our board theme, “A Listening Presence Changes Hearts,” reminds us that taking time to listen with care, compassion, and respect to the lived experiences of 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals helps build school communities where they feel seen, valued, and included. We can all work together to show that everyone truly belongs here, and that together, we are God’s Good News.
