PEP/SRP October Field Trip to Police Outpost Park
This field trip is open to PEP/SRP students and their families.

WHAT TO PACK:

Packed Lunch & Water: Please pack a waste-free/pack-it-in, pack-it-out lunch and a reusable water bottle (no trash receptacles guaranteed at all stations).

Layered Clothing: October weather near Chief Mountain can be cool and windy. Suggest sturdy walking shoes, warm layers, and a jacket.

Wear Clothing that can paint on them. There is a High possibility of coming home with paint on clothing - even though most paints will be water based -some may still stain clothes.

Art Supplies (if applicable): Parents/guardians/siblings, if you do not wish to pay the $8.00 fee for WAS-provided art supplies and will bring your own supplies.

SCHEDULE:

9:50 AM – 10:00 AM- Group Assembly: at the Main Gathering Area

10:00 AM – 10:40 AM- Guided Nature Walk Students/Teachers: Guided walk through the wetlands, park trails, bridge, and island. Led by Juliann & John.

10:40 AM -12:00 PM- Art Stations: Students choose one of two painting sites:

• Location 1: On the bridge overlooking the lake.

• Location 2: Top of the park overlooking the wetlands and Chief Mountain.

12:00 PM – 12:45 PM-Lunch & Free Time: Groups gather at the main picnic area.

• Bring your own lunch.

• Free time for students to explore or continue painting.

12:45 PM – 1:30 PM- Clean-Up & Site Restoration: Wash brushes, pack art stations/easels, collect trash, conduct final site clean-up
