Farmer John Macklin was clearing rocks off his land, the kind of rocks that often beat up his farm equipment, when he stumbled across something unique. It has since been assessed by experts, who say it's very, very old.

We spent a bunch of time this summer working on camouflage skills with the kids. Here is an interesting article about a group of women artists who had their own military platoon in World War 1 called the "Camoflageurs"

This is my love letter to Alberta. It's the 20th anniversary of my first Vision Quest I did in Ontario with Bill and Elizabeth Moes. They have generously agreed to come to our neck of the woods this summer and provide the same opportunity to any here who would be well served by time alone amongst all that is not human.
