“In 2024-2025, we had a couple of special appeals with great responses. First, students now have much better mattresses in dorms. Second, donations for Youth Surge made it possible for registration to be only $20 dollars for 2025. Thank you! Youth Surge donations exceeded projections so much that we kept registration at $20 for 2026, even without any appeal.

This year, in 2025-2026, we made no 'special' appeal, although we have been working to build a dedicated Capital Fund. To be fair, we also had that highly successful December hair-cutting fundraiser, which really helped our General Fund donations. So, it’s with some hopeful trepidation that we share the following: we’re $87,943.77 short of our budget (as of May 31, 2026). By the end of June (the end of our fiscal year), it would be great if we could get there. What would be even better is for you to talk to someone you know, or even know of, who might benefit from a year at CLBI. Most of the staff are alumni, so we think it’s a worthwhile endeavour. Wanda does too. We want to keep this ministry going for years to come. If you can, please help us through prayer, a donation, or by reaching out to a prospective student. If you could even reach out to our recruiter, Dan Shepherd, with one name, it could go a long way ([email protected]). Many have come to CLBI when they didn’t expect it, even late into the summer. Plans change. Hearts are moved. Whatever the hour, we’ll keep the lights on.

Again, thank you for your support, and pray for our ongoing preparations for 2026-2027, where our little discipleship school pivots in a few ways to address the needs and realities of our students today.”
