Little Picasso's Art Studio

Another year of painting classes has come to an end, and what a wonderful year it has been!

I wanted to wait until all of the dance recitals were over before sharing the children’s artwork so their amazing creations wouldn’t get lost in the excitement of recital season.

These young artists worked so hard all year long, and I am incredibly proud of every single one of them. Their creativity, growth, and dedication have been such a joy to watch. And of course, my “Big Little Picassos” in the adult classes have also done an amazing job. I am so pleased with everything they accomplished this year.

Thank you to all of my students and families for your continued support. Little Picasso’s Art Studio wouldn’t be what it is without you.

Wishing everyone a beautiful, fun-filled summer. I hope you enjoy the artwork as much as I enjoyed teaching it, and I look forward to seeing many of you again in September! ❤️🎨

Yesterday felt like the final page of a very beautiful chapter at Little Picasso’s Art Studio. 🎨✨
While it was my last day before summer vacation, it was also Payton’s very last class with me after being part of my studio family for all 13 years of business.

Payton was only four years old when she first walked through my doors with tiny hands and a big imagination. Over the years, she became so much more than a student. We built a very special bond, and saying goodbye to this chapter tugged hard on my heartstrings.

I’m usually pretty good at hiding my emotions, but this one cracked the paintbrush right in half. 💔🎨

We spent her final class celebrating her, and my heart melted watching the other kids bring little gifts they picked out just for her. Such sweet reminders that kindness and friendship grow beautifully inside these studio walls. Lots of tears were shed yesterday, not only from Payton, but from the other little students who grew to love her so much too. It truly shows just how special this place has become over the years.

A special thank you to Kelly for trusting me with your little girl all these years, for the countless drives back and forth to classes, and especially these last few years while Payton helped me teach. Watching her grow from one of my tiniest little artists into such a wonderful young lady has truly been a gift. And thank you both so much for the beautiful bouquet of flowers. Such a thoughtful gesture that I will never forget. 💐

We all love you very much, Payton McDonald. I am so proud of the young woman you’ve become, and I know you are going places. Never forget that no matter where life takes you, I will always be here for you. ❤️

This morning’s Mother’s Day workshop was a big, beautiful success 🌸🎨

The kids dove into creating heartfelt paintings for their moms, and yes… there were a few gloriously messy moments along the way, but that just added to the fun. Paint, giggles, little smudges, and big smiles everywhere.

We also made sure everyone was happily sugared up with plenty of sweet treats to fuel their creativity 🍪✨

A big thank you to Mary-Lynn for her wonderful help, and to all the parents who entrusted me with their little artists today. I truly appreciate you.

We had the best time this morning at Little Picasso’s Easter Painting Workshop 🎨🐣

So many giggles, so much colour, and a whole lot of creativity in the room. The kids painted their hearts out and, of course, enjoyed some yummy handmade treats by me along the way 🍪✨

These workshops truly fill my cup. There’s something special about giving kids a safe, happy space to express themselves, get a little messy, and just be creative 💛

Already looking forward to the next one!
