CRCS - Campbell River Christian School Campbell River Christian School is a K-12 Independent School which exists as an extension of the Christian home.

Evangelical Christian and Biblical values are integrated with the curriculum. CRCS, established in 1981, celebrated its 40th Anniversary in 2021. We are a Group 1 Private School, which meets government requirements and co-operates with applicable evaluations. We hire fully qualified teachers and offer Kindergarten through Grade 12 curriculum that meets all the BC Ministry of Education requirements

. Our government, in recognition of this, pays grants that cover a portion of our budget. It is to be emphasized that the standards required for the level of grants we receive do not infringe on our choice of curriculum. CRCS is affiliated with the Association of Christian Schools International, in BC. This organization gives advice and support and provides Christian curriculum materials. Decisions about individual policies are made at the local level by the school's board of directors.

We’re excited to be making some classroom upgrades at CRCS! 🎉

This year, our Grade 4–7 classrooms are receiving new desks and chairs, helping us create refreshed and welcoming learning spaces for our students.

As a result, we have a large number of our older school desks available FREE to anyone in our community who can make use of them.

📍 The desks are located outside at the back field of Campbell River Christian School and can be picked up anytime—no appointment needed.

They will remain available through the weekend and into early next week. After that, any remaining desks will be recycled.

Please feel free to take what you can use, and share this with others who may be interested!

We are excited to share that CRCS is partnering with JOMO (Joy of Missing Out) this coming school year to introduce JOMO(campus)—a digital wellness program grounded in Christ-centred formation.

JOMO encourages students to step away intentionally from what can distract or drain them and create more space to connect with God, others, themselves, and the world around them. Through staff formation, family engagement, and grade-specific student learning, we will explore healthy technology habits that strengthen relationships, encourage wisdom, and help our students use technology with greater purpose and intention.

We look forward to growing together as a school community as we learn what it means to live well—both online and offline. More information will be shared with families throughout the year!

Staffing Update for 2026–2027

We are excited to share several staffing updates as we prepare for the coming school year! These changes include some internal movement, the addition of a new position, and a new member joining the CRCS team.

Caroline Bouchard will be moving from Grade 1/2 into the role of Learning Support Teacher. Sarah Webstad will be moving from High School to become our new Grade 1/2 Teacher.

We are also pleased to welcome Andrea Jackson back to CRCS as our Careers Program Coordinator. Andrea will help grow our dual-credit and work experience programs while also teaching Careers 10 and 11.

Finally, we are thrilled to welcome Bernard Santos to the CRCS community as our new High School Humanities Teacher.

We are grateful for each of these individuals and look forward to the gifts, experience, and passion they will bring to their roles. Please join us in congratulating Caroline, Sarah, and Andrea, and in warmly welcoming Bernard to the CRCS team!

The CRCS Track and Field Team travelled to Port Alberni last week to compete in the North/Mid Island Championships. The team of 19 put forth an amazing effort and posted some excellent results. The team seeks to bring Glory to God with their talents, abilities, effort, and teamwork when they travel to the Island Championships in Nanaimo next week.
