Hi all! i’m thinking about re opening our maker space on saturdays. it would be from 10:00 am to 3 pm with a rate of $10/hr. please let me know if you’re interested!

Good Morning Sewers, we will not open until 11am today as I have a medical appointment this morning. We will stay open an additional hour though. See you there.

So proud of how all the students on the course are doing. Working through their design and manufacturing issues. Lots of laughing at each other and sharing of cool project ideas. In the new year we will be opening the shop for Saturday drop in, so bring along your ideas and put your skills to the test.

Good Day all my sewer out there. We have had a huge response from people interested in the sewing course starting the 26th of Oct so here is the skinny on the program. It will run along the lines of the NIC course we ran last year. We will begin by learning about the different sewing machines with lots of hands on work. Then we will get into construction of seams, zipper work and use of all tools used in this industry. There will some projects for you to work on to develop those skills and then each class I will give you time to work on your projects. As the course the progresses there will be less and less instruction and more time to work on your own stuff. The goal at the end is to support you in developing what ever projects or skill sets you wish to have. The cost of the course will be $400 for the 8 weeks. Course time will be 10 am Saturday till 3pm. If you are interested a non refundable deposit of $200 is required to hold your spot. Looking at capping the course at 10 right now I have 6 people who have expressed an interest. Deposits can be sent to [email protected]. Look forward to meeting you all and helping you with your projects.
