HPL is an event that seeks to equip and encourage pastors and other ministry leaders with the tools needed to sharpen their skills to serve their churches and congregations.

This year, Heritage Theological Seminary is pleased to welcome Dr. Jonathan T. Pennington to be our speaker for the day. He is Professor of New Testament Interpretation at Southern Seminary, one of the Teaching Pastors at Sojourn East Church in Louisville, KY, and an author of several books.

The Heritage Alumni Committee will be at this event hosting a few book giveaways. We would love to chat with you while you're there!

It is with heavy hearts we share that Professor Emeritus of Theological Studies, Dr. Stan Fowler, passed away peacefully this morning with his wife, Donna, by his side.

Stan served at Heritage since the school began in 1993 until he retired from his full-time faculty role in 2018. He was formally the Dean and acting President of Central Baptist Seminary in Toronto and also served as a pastor in Toronto and Bloomington, Indiana. More recently, Stan served as an elder at Grandview Baptist Church in Kitchener.

We are grateful for the remarkable impact that Stan made on his students, colleagues, pastors, and fellow believers as he informed and brought clarity to complex theological issues for the Canadian Church. He will be remembered as a man marked by integrity and graciousness, and as a teacher who handled the Word of God with faithfulness and wisdom.

Please join us in praying for Donna, their four children, and their grandchildren. We grieve, but with the eternal hope that is found in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
