STEMOTICS Kitchener Summer Camp – Another Day of STEM Fun!

Our younger campers had a blast building and programming a LEGO Bus, while our older campers designed and coded an awesome Dancing Bot!

In Science, everyone explored the fascinating world of static electricity, discovering how invisible electric charges can create surprising and exciting effects through hands-on experiments.

Another day filled with creativity, problem-solving, and STEM adventures at STEMOTICS!

Today was another fun day at STEMOTICS! Campers built and programmed LEGO SPIKE Essential robots, created erupting volcanoes, and explored how 3D printing works. Our coding campers put the finishing touches on their Roblox Studio, Scratch, and MakeCode Arcade games for tomorrow's competition, while our robotics campers explored the mBot2 robot, completed a maze challenge, and finished the day with an exciting robot soccer tournament.

STEMOTICS Kitchener Summer Camp – Week 1, Day 2! 🤖💻🧪

Another exciting day at our Kitchener camp filled with creativity, coding, engineering, and hands-on STEM exploration!

SPIKE Essential: Campers built and programmed their own “Taxi Taxi” projects, designing fun vehicles that could pick up and move passengers while learning key engineering and coding concepts.

SPIKE Prime: Students created a smart bike delivery cart, exploring automation, movement, and problem-solving as they engineered efficient delivery systems.

Science Experiment: Campers dove into the world of electricity by building simple circuits, learning how power flows and bringing LEDs and components to life through hands-on experimentation.

Every day at STEMOTICS is packed with creativity, collaboration, and discovery as campers grow their confidence through real-world STEM learning!

STEMOTICS Summer Camp – Week 6, Day 2!

Another exciting day filled with creativity, coding, engineering, and hands-on STEM fun!

Campers completed and raced their LEGO SPIKE F1 cars, putting their engineering skills to the test with some incredibly fast designs! They also explored Tinkercad by designing personalized 3D name keychains and wrapped up the day with an exciting Sumo Bot competition.

Our coding campers used Tinkercad to create 3D fidget toys and other unique designs for printing. In the afternoon, they continued developing games in Scratch and MakeCode Arcade, while others created impressive animations using Mine-imator.

Our younger campers built and programmed LEGO SPIKE Arctic Ride and F1 cars, experimented with growing Borax crystals, coded Root iRobots to draw different shapes, and strengthened their programming skills through the CodeMonkey Beaver Achiever challenge.

Every day at STEMOTICS is filled with creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning as campers build confidence through STEM!

🎉 STEMOTICS Kitchener Summer Camp – Week 1, Day 1! 🤖🚀🔬

What an amazing start to our first week of camp in Kitchener! Our campers jumped right into exciting hands-on STEM activities, exploring robotics, engineering, coding, and science.

Campers designed and built LEGO SPIKE Twirling Teacups, learning about gears, motors, and motion while bringing their creations to life.

They were also introduced to the LEGO SPIKE Prime Driving Base, discovering how robots move and how programming can control speed, direction, and precision.

In our science session, campers engineered their own catapults, exploring the principles of force, energy, and projectile motion through fun, hands-on experimentation.

It was a fantastic day filled with creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and plenty of smiles. We can't wait to see what our campers create tomorrow!

🚀 STEMOTICS Summer Camp – Week 6, Day 1! 🤖💻🔬

What an exciting start to Week 6! Our campers jumped into a full day of creativity, coding, robotics, and hands-on STEM challenges.

🎮 Our Coding & Game Design campers explored Scratch, MakeCode Arcade, Mine-imator, and CodeCombat while learning programming fundamentals through fun competitions and creative game design.

🏎️ In Robotics, campers were introduced to the LEGO SPIKE Prime system, learning how to use colour, force, and distance sensors before building their very own F1 Dragster race cars. The races begin tomorrow, and everyone is eager to see who will take home the 3D-printed prize!

🎡 Our younger campers strengthened their coding skills with interactive activities inspired by Angry Birds, Star Wars, and Minecraft. They also built LEGO SPIKE Ferris wheels, challenging themselves to create taller and stronger designs.

🔬 In Science, campers explored projectile motion by building their own catapults and experimenting with launch angles and speed using PHET simulations to better understand the science behind every launch.

A fantastic first day filled with learning, teamwork, creativity, and lots of smiles! We can't wait for another exciting day tomorrow.

🌟 STEMOTICS Summer Camp – Week 5, Day 5! 🎉
We ended the week with an exciting mix of coding, robotics, and science! Campers showcased and judged their Roblox Studio games, with prizes awarded to the top two creators. They also explored coding in Minecraft Education, built and programmed LEGO SPIKE robots, experimented with exploding monsters to learn about chemical reactions, and used the AI-powered VEX AIM robot in a fun capture-the-flag challenge.
It was a fantastic finish to another week of creativity, teamwork, and hands-on STEM learning! 🚀🤖🧪

🌟 STEMOTICS Summer Camp – Week 5, Day 4! 🚀🤖🔬
Another exciting day of hands-on STEM learning! Campers explored game development in Roblox Studio, preparing games for tomorrow's challenge where they'll be judged by their peers. They also discovered the wonders of space by building LEGO robots inspired by the solar system, experimented with Micro:bit circuits, and created SPIKE Prime forklifts using force and colour sensors before learning Arduino circuits in Tinkercad.

Our younger campers learned about the evolution of trains, designed and built their own LEGO SPIKE trains, and wrapped up the day with a fun slime science experiment, discovering how polymers are formed through chemistry. 🚂💡🧪
