Cassie joined Cambridge Toastmasters Club 2728 at the start of the year with one goal: become a stronger public speaker.

A few months in, she has discovered much more than speeches. She found a place to sharpen her storytelling, better understand her strengths, practise where she still wants to grow, and has also stepped into leadership as our Vice President of Public Relations.

Want to listen in on one of her recent presentations and see the behind the scenes of preparing for it? Watch it here: https://youtu.be/7yebMNwDGyY?si=vBEpwQ-EYlBrEs3H

It’s easy to watch a great speaker and think, “They’re just naturally good at this.”

What we don’t see are the first attempts, the forgotten lines, the feedback they took home, and the many times they stood up and tried again.

You don’t have to be confident to start your public speaking journey, you can build confidence as you go.

At Cambridge Toastmasters, we provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills.

Curious about what that looks like? Come experience a meeting tonight.

We meet Thursdays from 6:45–9:00 PM at the Allan Reuter Centre in Cambridge, Ontario. Guests are always welcome!

Ever wondered what members actually work on at Toastmasters? Pathways is a big part of it.

Through speeches, projects, feedback and plenty of practice, members build their communication and leadership skills one step at a time.

Completing a Pathway marks more than finishing a program. It represents all the practice, persistence and progress that happened along the way.

A big congratulations to our members Kevin Swayze Gloria Bryan Fadhwa Yusuf Nancy Movrin on reaching this milestone!

Swipe through to celebrate some of our recent Pathways graduates.
