This week, the BEP stopped by Grand River Rocks to visit Youth Creativity Fund recipient Arthur Tashbolotov. Arthur, a Laurel Heights student in Waterloo, created Access to Climbing, a nonprofit project that breaks barriers to climbing for underrepresented, underprivileged, low-income, or racialized high school students who don't fit into traditional sports. It provides a smooth pathway into climbing through free sessions, an inclusive environment, discounts, and assistance finding further grants to support participation in the sport.

Have an idea for a business or community initiative? Check out the Youth Creativity Fund. Apply for your grant. Your idea could be next!
