Hello Everyone. How are we today? Today was a sad day. âšī¸
It has been a very long while since I posted about our day here at Garden Blossoms Day Care. I do love to show off what we do, but without photos to respect the privacy of my children in care, it can gets a little challenging to do. Lately I have been trying to think of what I can show here. I love to talk about what we do, and especially about where we go when we are outside.
But today sadly it is more about what my garden blossoms didn't do. Yes, we actually did go outside to our playground. Same as yesterday. But not the two hours. Far from it. Not running and burning off lots of energy. Far from it. Twenty minutes tops was all I felt safe to give them for the last two days. And I had to time it early enough in the morning. The two key words for our outdoor time this morning were "low energy" coined by my oldest one in care. So wise of him! The kids had fun still. As always! They were happily unaware of how sad this was. But all the while I kept a close eye on the changing skies.
My posts sometimes come back to me through memory notifications in one, two, three,...seven or so years after. What will life be like then and how on this earth will these little garden blossoms grow? How can flowers grow in air like today's? Climate politics aside ( such a weird term, climate is climate) it is a sad day when kids have to stay inside because their outside poses too much danger. This never, ever happened when I was a child. No extreme temperature days. No air quality days.
Today was a sad day. But the kids don't know it.

Hi Everyone! My apologies for being away from my page for so long. It has been a very busy year! So we've been growing again as always. Growth happens every day here at Garden Blossoms Day Care but this year has been in a very big way. I have made the switch to extend my day care to all full day spaces for all five spots. One space is still currently open. Please see my link to my updated ad below for the most detailed information about what we do here. Feel free to take a journey through my posts as well and I look forward to connecting with as many of you as possible. I can't wait to grow some more! đ

I believe our hesistant little fledgling who visited us yesterday belongs to a family of common grackles. Apparently they can imitate human sounds. So maybe we'll hear some that sound like kids playing someday! đ
Common grackle - Wikipedia
The common grackle (Quiscalus quiscula) is a species of large icterid bird found in large numbers through much of North America. First described in 1758 by Carl Linnaeus, the common grackle has three subspecies. Adult common grackles have a long and dark bill, pale yellow eyes, and a long tail. Adul...

We had a sweet little visitor yesterday! It was learning to fly with Mom and Dad nervously fluttering about as it just stayed so still and calm. I guess it knew it was in a good spot for learning! Lol! Even a baby bird can blossom here.đ

Hello to everyone! First I hope all Moms of all kinds had a wonderful day touched by those who they love. I apologize for the late wishes but it was a very full but happy day! Now Today was just as amazing and happy. I am very proud to announce that my day care was very successfully inspected by the ministry of education as part of their annual routine inspections! I could not be more happy or proud. My group was all full of hugs and high fives when I told them how much our visiotrs enjoyed visiting them today! They were awesome little hosts! I have to thank my region consultant as well and all of the region team of consultants who have walked with me on my long journey! They have all been so amazingly supportive. I can't say enough about how wonderful they all are! đĨ°đĨ°đĨ°đĨ°
