WARD 2 CANDIDATE INTERVIEWS

Hespeler is Home has now released interviews with all four candidates running for Ward 2 Councillor in the 2026 Cambridge Municipal Election:

David Craig
Mike Devine
Mark Linton
Matt Rogers

The Cambridge Elects Town Hall was fantastic, and these interviews aren’t intended to replace it. Instead, the goal was to complement it by giving each candidate more time to talk specifically about Hespeler, their background, what they hope to accomplish and what they would bring to City Council.

Each candidate was asked essentially the same core questions, along with two questions specific to their own background or experience.

Watch all four interviews here:

Take some time to get to know the candidates, learn about the issues and make your own informed decision.

And most importantly, vote (if you can)!

Welcome to the Hespeler is Home Ward 2 Councillor Nominee Interview...

What's going on? You can now find it all... in one place... online!

The Hespeler is Home website now has just about every local event I’ve been able to find, bringing together the calendar of events from Neighbours of Hespeler Village and more events I’ve tracked down online.

There’s a lot happening in this community, and I want to make it easier for you to find it, get out, and enjoy it. 😊

Have a event you’d like to promote? Local businesses and community organizations can submit their events through the online form on the website.

Have several events? Message me and I’ll send you a spreadsheet you can fill out so you don’t have to submit them one at a time!

Take a look, bookmark it for later, and share it with someone who’s always asking, “What’s going on in Hespeler?”

Happy September everyone!! Now that the summer is winding up, and some of my other events for “Hespeler is Home” is now over, it is time to “return to my first love.”

It was THIS magazine that brought me to Hespeler and I have to say I am really proud of it.

If you love Hespeler, own a business and want to get in front of people while giving back to your community, let’s connect. In addition to the magazine I can help with your online presence and also digital ads too!

Drop me a line and let’s chat! I’m working on October’s issue presently!

(ALSO, I am so pleased to have the Nash family on the cover of this month’s magazine. They are such wonderful people and Bev and more recently Madisyn have been such blessings to my life and business. So happy to share their story with you. I hope you enjoy it!)

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Hespeler is home family fun day posted at Jamison Estate Plaza. We were really overwhelmed with the support and by the people who came here. Lots of smiles, and perhaps too much candy.

Anyhow, some sponsors were super generous and gave us some amazing things. Here is Us doing the draw for the lucky winners.

Good morning,

I can’t believe that it is finally here... The Hespeler is Home FREE Family Fun Day hosted by Jamieson Estate Plaza will begin at 11:30 and go until 3pm.

After all of this preparation, conversations, dreams, and marketing and stuff… It is finally here. I truly hope you and your family have a blast.

When you get here:
The event kicks off at 11:30. I would like to be mindful of the regular customers of the plaza, so if there isn’t ample parking space, I have permission for you to park at Homewood Suites and there’s another plaza beyond it. (A nice little walk to the event.)

You and your kiddos can start by doing the treasure hunt. Go to Quickie Convenience, just off the sidewalk, and bring your magazine if you have it or simply grab one of those 200 treasure maps I dropped off there and begin. It is a nice leisurely task that should take about 10 minutes at most.

After that, you can come to my tent right beside Tim Hortons and Global Pet Foods to pick up your kids loot bags as well be entered to win some of our incredible prizes.

Then you can stay on the grass and enjoy the fun!!! Your kids can do some crafts, use our inflatables, and even get a free photograph to remember this event by a professional photographer. There will even be face painting which starts at 12 o’clock!

Thank you for your interest in the event. And alongside the many businesses at Jamieson Estate Plaza and some of our community organizations and event sponsors, we hope you have a fantastic day!

Tony
