Things are heating up in downtown Hespeler this Friday. 🌶️

The Hespeler Hot Wing Challenge is happening Friday, June 19 during , starting at 5:30 PM. Contestants will take on some seriously spicy wings for a chance to win $500 cash, with proceeds supporting the Terry Fox Foundation.

On June 3rd, I shared the official promo video for the Hespeler Hot Wing Challenge. This one is more like the remix — the Uncut Cut — with more of the laughs, more of the heat, and more of the “why did we agree to this?” moments.

If you think you’re tough enough, we still have a few CONTESTANT spots left for this Friday’s challenge during , with a $500 cash prize up for grabs.

We’re also still looking for VOLUNTEERS to help make the day happen, so whether you want to compete, cheer, help out, or just spread the word, we’d love to have you involved.

Townline Pharmacy opened in Hespeler in January 2020, just before the pandemic changed everything. In this Hespeler is Home feature, Tony sits down with Pratik “Patrick” Patel to hear how he and Charlie Patel built a local pharmacy focused on care, trust, and really knowing their patients.

From blister packs and free delivery to travel vaccines, compounding medications, minor ailment prescribing, diabetic education, and everyday medication questions, Townline Pharmacy is doing a lot more than most people may realize.

🎥🏠 The Hespeler Reunion is back in 2026 — and this tradition has deep roots.

Tony from Neighbours of Hespeler Village sat down with Crystal Bechtel, David Mitten, and Lary Turner to talk about the history of the Hespeler Reunion, which began back in 1906 as the Old Boys Reunion and continued every 20 years until the amalgamation of Cambridge. After that tradition paused, David helped relaunch the Reunion in 1996, bringing Hespelerites together once again to celebrate community, memories, and home.

This year’s Reunion takes place July 10–12, 2026, with the midway starting on July 9. The weekend will include the parade, music, hockey, baseball, kids’ activities, open houses, a party in the park, and a drone show to wrap things up. Whether you grew up here, moved away, recently arrived, or are attending for the very first time, the message from the committee is simple: everybody is welcome. ❤️

Tony also shared that this will be his first Hespeler Reunion, and after hearing so many great stories about it over the years, he is excited to finally experience it for himself.
