Lunch Program!!

Lunches at our school will begin on Tuesday, September 8.
Important dates for the first ordering:
• Ordering opens: Friday, August 28
• Ordering closes: Wednesday, September 2, at noon

Registering and ordering
All lunches must be ordered through the online ordering system. To get started, visit www.NSLunch.ca and click “Order Now.”

Returning users can sign in using their existing account.
New users will need to create an account and provide:
- GNSPES account information for students, or My NS Account information for parents and guardians
- The student’s name, exactly as it appears in PowerSchool
- The student’s PowerSchool ID
Make sure the students’ name is entered exactly as it appears in PowerSchool so the account can connect properly. If you receive a mismatch error, check your student information is entered correctly. You will only be able to place an order three times with a mismatch error.

YMCA of Southwest Nova Scotia — Before & After School Program
The YMCA of Southwest Nova Scotia is happy to offer afterschool care at your school! Our program runs every school day, including embedded days, from dismissal until 5:30pm.
Program Highlights:
• 🌳 Minimum 60 minutes outdoors daily (often the whole session on warmer days!)
• 🏃 90 minutes of guaranteed active play every day
• 🍎 A nutritious afterschool snack including 2 food groups, always with a fruit or veggie
• 🛡️ Staff are screened, background-checked, and trained in First Aid/CPR, keeping safety and quality childcare front and centre
Cost:
• Full Time care: $11.75/child/day
• Part Time care: $12.75/child/day
• We partner with government subsidy programs to help make care more affordable

❤️ That’s a wrap on an incredible school year! ❤️
Today, Mrs. Salsman’s class celebrated their last day by creating a giant collaborative artwork featuring self-portraits around the words “Our Class Is a Family.” 🖍️

Their classroom theme came full circle as we revisited the books that shaped our year—from "A Letter from Your Teacher On the First Day of School" -that they read in September, and "Our Class Is a Family"- which helped shape their classroom rules, and then today, they read "A Letter from Your Teacher On the Last Day of School"-always an emotional story to end the school year.💛

We finished the day with some exciting Minute to Win It games and lots of smiles.

The grade 5’s ended the year with a Subway lunch party! We will miss you all but know you will take your tiger courage with you next year!! RAWR!! 🦁 🎉
