Little Dumplings Childcare

🍂 Our Little Dumplings kicked off the school year with fun and learning! From exploring fall colours through painting 🎨, tasting and graphing apples 🍎, to getting to know classmates with picture-sorting activities 🖼️. We soaked up the last of the warm weather with playground and water play 💦, and celebrated a special girl’s birthday with music and healthy treats 🎉. Thank you to our amazing families for all your support! 💛

Here’s a little update to keep you in the loop as we begin a brand-new school year together.

✨August at Little Dumplings✨

💕 This month we celebrated friendship and teamwork. Our group is the fullest it’s ever been since opening, and I am so grateful to spend my days with such a wonderful bunch of little dumplings.

🌱 Photos this month highlight the many ways our little dumplings have bonded—older ones helping and caring for the younger ones, learning how to share, how to use their words, and how to show love and kindness towards friends. It’s been heartwarming to watch their social skills blossom and their friendships grow stronger.

🌟 Although we are saying goodbye to our two older 哥哥姊姊 (big brother and big sister) this month, their leadership and gentle care for the little ones have left a lasting mark.

🎭 Our biggest highlight was the End of Summer Celebration Performance. The children sang songs and performed “The Two Little Piggies and the Big Bad Wolf” for their parents. I am so proud of how confident the older children were, and how the younger ones joined in with smiles and no tears. What an amazing achievement for everyone!

Thank you, parents, for your continued support. I feel so lucky to have such caring families to share this journey with. 🙏

Starting Sept 1, Little Dumplings Childcare will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
⏳ Until then, we’re still on our current schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays.

🌾 July at Little Dumplings 🌾
From cowboy hats and pancakes to piano songs and rainy-day play — our little dumplings had a month full of learning, laughter, and sweet milestones.

We celebrated Stampede with Western wear, lasso games, decorated hats, and a fun puppet show 🎭. Our littlest dumplings are growing fast — singing at the piano, leading their own circle times, learning to use spoons and drink from cups like pros!

One of the most exciting things this month has been our Mandarin learning. We welcomed two new friends, and even though they didn’t know any Mandarin at first, within just a few weeks they were comfortably using words like 哥哥 (gēge) – big brother, and 姊姊 (jiějie) – big sister. They’ve even started naming colours in Mandarin!
Isn’t it amazing how quickly children can absorb a new language when it’s part of their everyday play?

Rainy days didn’t stop us either — with proper gear, our dumplings explored water, filled containers, and turned puddles into sensory fun 🌧️💧
