13 years ago we started this journey, launching Calgary Reptile Parties at the Reptile Show on Sept 20th, 2008.

Since then we expanded to Edmonton (which unfortunately is currently suspended operations), travelled across Canada, launched a summer camp program, had SCALED on Animal Planet, and educated over a million people in person.

It's fitting that the YYC Nature & Education Centre is launching now.

None of this was even on the radar when we started this journey 13 years ago. We are so appreciative of every client, staff person, and supporter over the last decade+.

We're going to be marking our anniversary on Patreon with daily content. Support our page and support our animals, receive discounts on the Nature Centre, exclusive content and much more. Sign up today https://www.patreon.com/reptileparties

Here's to more milestones!

Sea Turtles are such remarkable creatures.
All 7 species of sea turtle are endangered.
Ocean plastic and garbage is a huge contributor to their deaths. Mistaking it for food like Jellyfish, sea turtles can fill their stomachs with indigestible garbage and die.

We are still learning about the habits of these amazing ocean reptiles. This video is a cool look at that.
