Looks like I will be flying south this spring to speak at the The Halldale Group s World Aviation Training Summit 2026 in Orlando

I can not wait to return to my most favourite aviation training summit as one of the few Canadian speakers, this will be a conference my ab initio friends won’t want to miss! I hope to see you all in Florida!

Did you know the human brain is wired to find fault before it finds joy?
Every one of us can look at a photo (especially if it contains ourselves) and find faults first.

I submitted my photos to my 99s chapter a while back. They showed up on Facebook yesterday. I’m flattered with the recognition but you can’t help but wonder if other people notice the flaws like I do.

Sometimes we need to get out of our brains and enjoy joyfulness-in this case celebrating long-pursued achievements-and let the haters hate.

A simple demonstration of Bernoulli, but it makes meaning to the young minds in attendance! I simply LOVE seeing graduates of the Flight instructor pedagogy class doing incredible things to make meaning happen. Well done Abdullah! Lessons learned at this year’s ATAC conference:

1. I’m not the only one who believes there can be a better approach to flight training.
2. CFIs are over taxed dealing with administrivia and need support to keep the other “things” running.
3. Ask before you put flyers out at the trade show 🤭 whoopsie! Sorry guys!

It was a great conference and I hope to return next year in Vancouver!
