I'm genuinely grateful this week for my ability to think long term and incorporate this into the work that literally no-one sees that determines who I am becoming each and every day.

It's not about delayed gratification for its own sake. It's about knowing that consistent effort compounds - and one day, it will show up in a way that exceeds expectations.

You're probably doing more right than you think.

Most of us spend so much time focusing on what's not working that we completely overlook what is.

✔️ Your diet
✔️ Your sleep routine
✔️ What your consume
✔️ How you handle conflict
✔️ The standards you hold at work.
✔️ The care you put into your relationships

These are not ‘just what you do’ - they are an extremely valuable skill set.

Try this: Think about something people say you make look effortless. Ask yourself what would change if you deliberately applied that same approach / focus / dedication / diligence to an area of your life that's struggling?

You already have the data. You might just be ignoring it, suppressing it and/or simply not using it.

Do you know what your priorities are this week?

Not your task list - your real priorities. The things that, if done successfully, make your week a success.

Most weeks blur because everything feels urgent while we can lack real, genuine clarity on what is important.

Look at your week and ask yourself what absolutely has to happen, what can flex, and what can slow, stop, or go.

Once you know that, self-coaching becomes possible. Course correct daily. Celebrate the progress. See things outside of yourself.

This week is International Coaching Week - a perfect moment to give yourself that gift.

What didn't happen this week that could have derailed you?

Not the wins you pursued - the problems that never appeared because of work you already did.

Most of us move on without noticing. But those absences are proof that something you did worked.

Now, I know this isn’t super-sexy or top of mind for most people. But that doesn’t make it any less important.

Give this a go: Name one thing that used to take up your time, effort or energy - and doesn't anymore. Then ask yourself why.

What are you holding onto that you really should let go of?

A habit. A person. A commitment that stopped being congruent with who you are long ago.

This week I'm grateful for the reflection moments that help me see that clearly - and act on it.

Because the decision to let go actually gets easier once you've had the honest internal dialogue first.

Even then, I’ve held onto things longer than I should have - but a lot less than I would’ve if I hadn’t committed to honestly reflecting then acting.

Try this: Name one thing you're holding onto that isn't serving you. Not to act on it today - just to name it for now and see what comes up for you.

What's your relationship with favours?

Not just "do you like doing them" - but do you know where your comfort zone actually sits when it comes to reciprocity?

Some people love the give-and-take. Others carry it like debt.

Neither of these are right or wrong. But not knowing which one you are? That's where it can get messy.

Do this: Next time someone does something for you - or asks something of you - pause before you respond. Consider whether you know the expectation that's being exchanged here - and if you’re ok with it?

Don’t simply assume. Please don’t do that. You could be causing future you some real hardship.

You are not your thoughts.

That one sentence has come up more in my coaching conversations than almost anything else.

Because when a dark, ugly, or destructive thought appears - most people assume it says something true about them.

It doesn't. Please trust me on this.

Thoughts are your brain processing stored information. No sensory input required and no moral verdict attached.

Give this a go: Next time a thought shows up that doesn't match who you want to be - take a beat, observe it, and analyse it if you like. Then let it go.

You don't have to act on it. You don't have to confess it.

Your actions are who you are. Not the noise upstairs.
