Yesterday was a great day to celebrate John!

A scholarship and foundation in memory of John Hasselfield - teacher, coach John left us much too early on November 7, 2008.
John Hasselfield began his teaching career with the Calgary Board of Education in 1967. His contributions to Junior High School athletics were numerous. John's passion for basketball was evident in the many years of coaching at the Junior High and High School levels. John was the longest serving Assistant Basketball coach at the University of Calgary. John was a strong believer in athletics but as

Had a great weekend in Lyalta. The weather was the best it could be. Had great food, conversation and fun activities. Lou played and sang by the fire, had a powerful swing or two in the slow pitch game and was seen chasing and tagging a young women along the base paths. Thanks to all who came and made the day brighter.
We also celebrated the 21 students who received the John Hasselfield Awards this spring sharing the $6560 that was sent their way.

What a great day! Had the opportunity to renew old friendships, listen to great music ( thanks Lou), partake in a slow pitch pick up game, and of course enjoy some great food! Thanks everyone for coming. Hope to see you next year.
