Celebrating Mom Eleanor on her birthday and feeling grateful to her for having taken me under her wing so many years ago.

Remebering fondly, her great love for animals, especially cats. Cats like Ming (of Siamese royalty no doubt); Wimpy (born with a club foot); and many others. Do you remember some of their names?

Fondly Remembering Mom.

Unfortunately, Ellie never made it to our home here in Spences Bridge. She would have loved it, especially in spring. She liked it hot and dry and that's how we have it for a big part of the year. Great for the garden and the fruit trees, of which we have many!

Ellie's birthday once again and as I recall her with great love and affection, I share with you this photo, one of my very favourites. It was taken on the deck of a very sweet waterfront cabin Ann and I owned on Bowyer Island, just outside of Vancouver's Horseshoe Bay. Mom loved it there.
