Come out to our wellbriety event during Indigenous Awareness Week (IAW)! Happening Friday, March 27th from 9am-10:30am in the Life Design Hub.🧘🏽‍♀️❤️‍🩹

Good day, relatives! Join us for the concluding event, closing ceremonies. We will have dance demonstrations followed by food (potluck style, pls bring something if you can) & we will end with a giveaway! With that, please come out🤎🦬🫶🏽

Indigenous Awareness Week commences this morning at 10:00 am with an opening ceremony with Elder Kerrie Moore at the sacred fire pit. This week we have a full schedule organized by our Indigenous Students on campus, and everyone is welcome! Please join us 🤍💛❤️🖤

Coming together as a community is powerful & healing, we hope to see you during IAW! Everyone is welcome to attend, Indigenous and our non-Indigenous relatives. Let’s honour, respect, celebrate and learn about Indigenous peoples culture, history & diversity!

Every event will either have a meal provided or snacks & beverages. Opening ceremonies will have doorprizes and a potluck, closing ceremonies will have a potluck and a giveaway!

FYI:
-The Waniska: Remembering the Warrior Within event is from 12:30-2pm, this was missed on the poster.
-There are 3 events that are still being figured out or confirmed: Movie Night, Recovery Speaker Panel & Closing Ceremonies. HOWEVER, they will be happening, details just might change. So stay tuned for updates.

IAW Opening Ceremonies! We will start at 10am at the Indigenous firepit to gather with Elder Dr.Kerrie Moore for an opening prayer. Following that, we will make our way to the Writing Symbols Lodge for food, games & doorprizes!
