Crowder has it right, and the faster we get Alberta away from the silly people running Canada and into the US, the better it will be for all Albertans

You shouldn’t fear losing your identity—or what little we have left of our culture—by joining the United States. Statehood doesn’t erase who you are. It strengthens it.

Look at Hawaii. A land with a deep, unique history, its own language, and proud traditions. It’s still very much Hawaiian, yet it stands tall as a member of the union, its star shining on the flag.

Texas was once independent, a republic of its own. But joining the U.S. didn’t make Texans any less Texan. If anything, it made their identity even stronger. To this day, they’re among the proudest people in America.

Louisiana, with its deep French roots, vibrant Creole culture, and some of the most stunning historic architecture in the lower 48, remains unmistakably Louisianian. Statehood didn’t erase its identity—it preserved it.

The Carolinas? Known for their world-class barbecue, coastal charm, and deep Southern traditions. They didn’t have to sacrifice their culture to be part of something greater.

Alaska, once Russian territory, has a culture and lifestyle unlike any other state. Vast wilderness, a fiercely independent spirit, and a people who thrive in some of the harshest conditions on Earth. They became American, but they never stopped being Alaskan.

Why would Canada be any different?

Joining the U.S. wouldn’t strip us of our culture. It would protect it from the decay we’ve seen under Ottawa’s rule. We’d finally have the freedoms, prosperity, and representation we deserve—without losing who we are.

We wouldn’t disappear. We’d finally matter.
