I had cavities when I was really young. My father took me to Dhaka Dental College Hospital. Little me got really stressed. The place was too big, too cold and full of scary looking instruments. My father decided to sit on the dentists chair and allowed me to lie on his chest so that the doctor can treat me. All my fears melted away into the comfortable warmth of my dad’s chest. Today I got to be the same person for my daughters eye exam. I hope she felt the same way.

I am the kind of person who always learned to sacrifice my present self for my future self. Over the years what I have realized if you hold off your little luxuries for too long they lose their meaning. I always wanted a little garden for myself. I told myself may be when I have my own home I will do it. May be when I will have enough time I will do it.
This summer I told myself I don’t know when I will have my home or enough time, but that does not mean I cant enjoy a little gardening. Within my limited means in my rental I did what was available. It taught me this beautiful lesson to not always hammer myself rather treat myself like someone I love.

Looks like everyone on facebook knows I bought a house. 10K people reacted on my post. 128 were negative reactions. Which is 1.28%. Which is roughly equal to 2% of the any population who are psychopaths.
What have we learned today:
statistics is beautiful.
Most of the people are nice it’s just the haters are very loud.

I said no mortgage is the only halal mortgage. So we decided to wait and save enough for cash purchase.
Nearly 8 years later we are smiling in front of our paid off home being the first woman in the bloodline to own a roof over the head. I hope my daughter inherits my determination along with the property.
