Some of us may turn to shopping or spending $$ as our coping mechanism. Which if that is you, YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

I wanted to share a few different ways you can notice if your overspending is emotional and how to overcome that:

๐—ง๐—ถ๐—ฝ ๐Ÿญ - ๐—”๐—ฐ๐—ธ๐—ป๐—ผ๐˜„๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐—ด๐—ฒ and take note of what happened to maybe cause the the overspending. Was is a situation and emotion. Journal on it.

๐—ง๐—ถ๐—ฝ ๐Ÿฎ - Find a ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฝ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ for when that emotion comes again. Maybe you work out or you call a friend.

๐—ง๐—ถ๐—ฝ ๐Ÿฏ - ๐——๐—ผ๐—ปโ€™๐˜ ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ ๐˜€๐—ผ ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ณ. You are human and you are gonna make mistakes and itโ€™s ok. As long as you learn and grow from it!

Most of my clients are very resistant to budgeting at first.

Many believe that since they are making good money they don't need to budget.

However they need to understand where their money is going!

My first tip is to start with the basics!

Make a plan based of your income/expenses what are your 4 basic things you need to survive: Home/Utilities, Transportation, food and clothing.

Once you are able to put aside the money each month for those things then you can have the other money for investing/paying off debt and more.

If you donโ€™t give yourself a simple place to start, youโ€™ll never get started!
