Why I Do What I Do
Oikos Ministries, Servants Quest, Musings of a Milkman
Have you ever wondered what it really means to follow Jesus? I’ve been wrestling with that question for over forty years. During that time I’ve discovered that following Jesus requires three things knowing, being and doing.
Penn Jillette the Magician once said: "How much do you have to hate somebody to believe everlasting life is possible and not tell them that?” It’s a question that helps motivate me.
As a digital missionary and discipleship coach, I try to encourage people to discover for themselves what it means to become an apprentice of Jesus.
My goal is simple: help people become disciples who make disciples, and build Jesus-centered communities both online and in everyday life. So here’s my question for you: Are you simply learning about Jesus, or are you learning to follow Him?
These are the musings of a milkman, Shalom.
Coaching Question: Are you simply learning about Jesus, or are you learning to follow Him?
Scripture: “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”” Matthew 28:18-20 ESV
Quote: “You will know as much of God, and only as much of God, as you are willing to put into practice.” Eric Liddell
