Have you ever wondered what your dosha type is? πΏ
According to Ayurveda, we each hold three doshas within us: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Usually, one or two are naturally more dominant.
π¨ Vata is connected to space and air. When balanced, Vata may feel creative, joyful and adaptable. When imbalanced, you may feel anxious, scattered, cold or restless.
π₯ Pitta is connected to fire and water. When balanced, Pitta may feel focused, confident and motivated. When imbalanced, you may feel irritable, overheated, impatient or overly critical.
π± Kapha is connected to earth and water. When balanced, Kapha may feel calm, grounded and nurturing. When imbalanced, you may feel heavy, sluggish, stuck or unmotivated.
Your natural dosha is not always the same as the imbalance you may be experiencing right now. Stress, sleep, food, routines, the seasons and different stages of life can all influence how these energies show up.
In my newest blog, I explore the qualities of each dosha, signs that you may be in or out of balance, and gentle tips using food, lifestyle, yoga and breathwork.

A little studio update π€
Since I last shared this space, so much progress has been made. The flooring is almost completely in! We are just waiting on a little more to finish one small section.
Next up is painting the trim and completing a few final touch-ups. Hopefully, I can get all of that finished this weekend! After that, I can begin adding all the warm and peaceful details that will bring this space to life.
This room will soon become the home studio for Prana Yoga with Kat and Reiki with Kat. A space for yoga, Reiki healing, intuitive messages from spirit, rest, connection and coming home to yourself. I can already picture yoga mats across the floor, peaceful Reiki sessions, meaningful messages and all the beautiful moments that will be shared here.
This part of the journey also holds such a special connection to my mom. After losing her, I felt deeply called to Reiki. It became a source of healing, comfort and connection for me, and eventually something I knew I wanted to share with others. Creating a home for this work feels like such a beautiful full-circle step, and I feel her love with me through every part of it.
It has truly been a labour of love, and seeing it all come together is so exciting. We are getting closer, and I cannot wait to welcome you into this space.
What do you think of the flooring and paint colour?

Sometimes we become so used to carrying everything that we forget to pause and ask ourselves what we truly need.
If your energy could speak today, what would it ask for?
Rest?
Release?
Grounding?
Connection?
There is no wrong answer.

Reiki offers you a gentle and supportive space to slow down, deeply rest and reconnect with yourself. You do not need to know anything about Reiki or do anything special during your session. You simply get to lie back, receive and allow yourself to be supported.
During your session, I also connect with Spirit and share any healing, intuitive or psychic messages that come through for you. Every session is completely unique, and everything I receive is shared with love, care and respect.
My 90-minute Reiki sessions include an opening conversation and card pull, approximately 60 minutes of Reiki, followed by time to reflect and a final card pull.
If this feels like something your energy has been asking for, Reiki sessions are available in my Hagersville space.
Book through the link in my profile or send me a message if you have any questions β¨

Have you been curious about Reiki, but unsure what to expect during a session?
Each Reiki session with me is created to feel calm, supportive, and completely your own.
We begin with a quiet conversation about how you have been feeling and what you may need support with. You will then choose a tarot or oracle card to help guide the intention of your session.
From there, you simply rest fully clothed while I offer Reiki through gentle hands-on or hands-above energy work. There is nothing you need to do, achieve, or figure out. This is your time to soften, receive, and reconnect with yourself.
You may experience warmth, tingling, emotions, deep relaxation, or simply a peaceful sense of calm. Every Reiki experience is different, and whatever you feel is completely valid.
Each appointment is 90 minutes and includes time before and after the Reiki treatment to talk, reflect, and pull a final card.
Sessions are offered in a calm, supportive space in Hagersville.

The crown chakra invites us into stillness, trust, and connection. π
Located at or just above the crown of the head, the crown chakra is associated with spiritual awareness, inner peace, wisdom, and our connection to something greater than ourselves.
For some, that connection may feel like Spirit, universal energy, intuition, nature, or simply the feeling that we are part of something larger. There is no single way spiritual connection needs to look or feel. It is deeply personal and may change throughout different seasons of our lives.
Spirituality does not mean escaping the human experience or always feeling peaceful and positive. Grounded spirituality allows space for all of it. The joy, grief, uncertainty, change, love, and everything in between.
We can remain connected to our bodies and present in our everyday lives while still being open to guidance, energy, meaning, and the things we may not fully understand.
In my newest blog post, Grounded Spirituality: Connecting With the Crown Chakra, I explore:
β¨ What the crown chakra represents
β¨ The difference between the crown and third eye chakras
β¨ Signs your crown chakra may need support
β¨ Why grounding is important when exploring spirituality
β¨ Gentle yoga, meditation, and reflection practices
β¨ Crystals and affirmations for spiritual connection
You do not need to have all the answers or force yourself to feel connected. Sometimes the practice is simply slowing down, becoming quiet, and creating enough space to notice what is already present within and around you.
Stay rooted in your body. Remain open to what you cannot yet see. Trust that connection can meet you gently, in its own time.

Reiki is more than simply taking time to rest. It is an opportunity to soften, receive, and reconnect with yourself.
A Reiki session can support:
β¨ Deep relaxation
β¨ A calmer, more settled nervous system
β¨ Emotional balance
β¨ Energetic clearing
β¨ A greater sense of grounding
β¨ A deeper connection to your intuition and inner wisdom
You do not need to wait until you feel completely overwhelmed or exhausted to receive support. Sometimes, choosing to pause is the support you need.
My 90-minute Reiki sessions offer a gentle space where you can rest, receive, and allow the energy to move where it is needed most.
Save this post for later or share it with someone who may be curious about Reiki.

Why I Started Practising Reiki
Reiki had always been something I felt drawn to. I had received treatments in the past and experienced how deeply supportive they could be. Reiki helped me feel calmer, more grounded, and more connected to myself during times when I needed comfort and healing.
I remember talking with my mom about Reiki and sharing how interested I was in learning it. I told her I felt called to explore it and hoped to pursue the teachings one day.
After my mom passed away, I began receiving signs encouraging me to follow that calling. Something within me kept telling me this was a path I needed to explore, and I am so grateful I listened.
Learning Reiki has been one of the greatest gifts I have ever given myself.
It has allowed me to support others through Reiki healing, helping them experience rest, relaxation, energetic balance, emotional release, and a deeper connection to themselves. It has also opened the door for me to offer intuitive readings and support others in connecting with loved ones who have passed.
Reiki has also become a powerful part of my own healing journey.
As I continued with the teachings, my intuition became stronger and my connection with my mom deepened. I began noticing her signs more clearly, seeing her, speaking with her, and feeling her presence around me.
That connection has also opened with other loved ones who have passed, as well as my soul dog, Lucy. I can see them, feel their presence, receive signs from them, and sometimes hear or sense the messages they want to share.
These experiences have reminded me that love does not disappear. It simply changes form.
What began as an interest in Reiki became something so much deeper. It became a way for me to heal, a way to feel closer to my mom, Lucy, and other loved ones, and a way to support others through their own healing, grief, and connection.
I am so grateful I trusted the quiet feeling within me.

β¨ What does it really mean to speak your truth?
Speaking your truth does not always mean speaking louder, confronting someone, or saying everything that is on your mind.
Sometimes it is much softer than that.
It is the quiet choice to be honest with yourself.
It is setting a healthy boundary.
It is asking for help when you need support.
It is saying no when something does not feel aligned.
It is expressing your needs with honesty.
It is honoring your feelings instead of pushing them aside.
Your truth does not have to be loud to be real.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is listen inward, trust what you feel, and allow yourself to be honest about what you need.
Save this as a reminder that your voice matters, even when it is soft.
Which one feels most supportive for you right now: boundaries, asking for help, saying no, expressing your needs, or honoring your feelings?

Your voice matters.
Not because it needs to be the loudest in the room, but because it deserves to be heard.
The throat chakra reminds us that authentic communication begins with being honest with ourselves. It is the space where we learn to express our thoughts, feelings, and needs with both courage and compassion.
When this energy centre is in balance, we may find it easier to set healthy boundaries, ask for what we need, speak our truth, and listen with an open heart.
If your throat chakra feels like it could use a little support, try spending a few quiet moments today with one of these practices:
π Gentle neck and shoulder stretches
π Slow, mindful breathing
π Journaling your thoughts without judgment
π Repeating an affirmation that resonates with you
π Holding a favourite blue crystal during meditation
Remember, finding your voice is not about becoming louder.
Sometimes it is found in a quiet "no."
Sometimes it is found in asking for help.
Sometimes it is simply giving yourself permission to say what is true.
If you'd like to explore this topic more deeply, I've just shared a new blog post:
Throat Chakra Practices for Authentic Expression, Honest Communication, and Finding Your Voice
