2021 Summer Camp Enrichment Program

Join us for a fun-filled, brain-boosting, memorable Summer Camp Enrichment Program! The team at Bright Scholars Montessori Caledon have designed a special Summer Program based on Montessori ideals and principles for young children. Our unique and flexible program offers:

 Clean, COVID-friendly, attractive classrooms with a full range of materials
 Full utilization of our outdoor playground as an outdoor classroom
 Highly qualified, intuitive staff experienced in the developmental needs of young children
 A flexible and convenient schedule for busy families
 Arts and crafts with creative expression such as painting and making playdough
 A variety of sports and gross-motor activities such as relay races and games
 Understanding healthy mealtimes, the science of food, and growing fruits and vegetables
 Materials exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics
 Nature walks, picnics, outdoor exploration in private, safe playgrounds and communities
 Parades, drama, and musical productions for outdoor song, dance, and rhythm
 Storytime sessions to stimulate the imagination
 Time and space for rest, self-regulation, and mindfulness practices
 Opportunities for language development and school readiness with mixed age classrooms
 More than 30 years of experience in creating the optimal environment for the early years
 Most importantly, friendship, fun, laughter, and memories to last a lifetime

We provide all campers with continuity of Montessori fundamentals practiced during our Academic Year of respect for self, others, and the environment.

Bright Scholars Montessori’s Summer Camp Enrichment Program runs for 10 weeks,
from June 28th through to September 2nd, 2021.

In celebration of National Let's Laugh Day, we invited our parents to share the FUNNIEST thing their child has ever said or done! Below are the stories they shared!

One day, while eating dinner I jokingly asked our dog Rocky to move his plate closer to me on the floor so I could put some food in as his plate slid away when he was eating from it. A* turned to me and said, “mommy, he can’t do that. Rocky doesn’t have arms, he only has legs” - A, 3.2 YO

Here is something A* used to say when I would go jogging last summer and fall:
Mummy, are you going gogging pants?
Gogging with a G! -A, 3.1 YO

The funniest thing that A* has done occurred late at night. He was battling his sleep and stayed up past 10pm! I approached him to pursue rest and he exclaimed, “see you, bye bye”. As if his statement was the final word and he would not be sleeping. We had a good laugh that night. -A, 2.1 YO

*A's funniest moment so far has been during dinner time. One time she was eating yogurt and decided to put her hands into the bowl and rub the yogurt all over her arms like she's putting on lotion. It was very messy but very funny at the same time. - A, 1.5 YO

This is one recent incidence we laugh about a lot...
On the very first day after coming from school, she asks me making a very innocent face- ‘mumma, why M* was doing ‘whaa whaa’ in the school? And I had no answer to that... lol... -M, 2.7 YO

One of the funniest things we saw A*do is while making breakfast he starts to sing and dance (with no music) and then his sister Arianna joins him. Happy national laugh day! -A, 1.7 YO

HAPPY NATIONAL LET’S LAUGH DAY!

Each year, National Let’s Laugh Day on March 19th reminds us to add a little humor to our day.

We have all heard the saying, “Laughter is the best medicine.” This is the day to take your medicine.

Some studies have shown that laughter may boost your immune system, relieve tension and help you relax. Who does not need any of those things in our busy and hectic world?

Investing in our future means investing in our children — which is why the United Nations has designated every November 20 as Universal Children’s Day. It’s a time to promote togetherness around the world, awareness of the problems children face in every corner of the globe, and improve the welfare for all children.

How will you be celebrating Universal Children's Day?

Our school has 2 large playgrounds, one for the Casa children and another for our Toddlers. The Toddler playground is covered, allowing the children to enjoy outdoor time, rain or shine!

Safety is our number one concern when it comes to our children. We are thankful to have the OPP as our neighbours :)

There are so many great benefits that are associated with being partners at Southfield's Community Centre. Every week the children have a private library visit where we get to explore, read, borrow books for our story times, and Snuggle Up & Read Program.

We look forward to the endless possibility of additional program add on in the near future!

-washroom within each classroom (with child sized toilets)
-private entrance and exit to the enclosed playground
-heated floors
-child sized sink in the classroom
