I don't know about you, but since our recent meetings with Olympics as the theme, I've been watching more of the Olympics.

If you have also been watching it, or watched previous Olympics, you know it's filled with magic when we see athletes perform their best.

On that note, it's my privilege to be the Chairperson for next week's meeting. With magic in mind, the theme for our next meeting is Magic Moments.

What's one of the things that has happened in your life that you would look back and say, "Wow, that's amazing how that happened. That was unbelievably great." It doesn't have to involve winning championship medals or anything. It could be as simple as meeting someone, landing that great career of yours, or even passing high school (that's my magic moment, so find your own...haha). Tell us your magical story.

Are you watching the Olympics? These athletes are amazing, don't? These athletes have been training and pushing themselves through a global pandemic in order to do their best at this Olympic games. Even with these challenges, we are still seeing records being broken and athletes reaching their personal best.

With less than a week left of it (ends of the 8th), I would love to see it go on longer as I just can't get enough it. How about you? How do you find this year's Olympic games? What's your favourite country? Who is your favourite athlete? What's your favourite sport? what was your awe moment?

For me, it was when the Jamaican girls won the 100 meter finals race and came first, second, and third. It was a historic moment for Jamaica and we all celebrated all around the world.

In this year's Olympic games, there are 206 countries participating, with over 11,000 athletes going up for 339 gold medals.

It’s been a long time since we’ve all had a chance to see each other in person so this will be a great opportunity for us to finally meet up again.

We’ll be doing it slightly differently this year as we’ll be holding a potluck. Please bring something to share and feel free to bring your friends and family.

It took me a while to get a theme
That I thought suitable for the meeting until I went to an event. A friend’s wedding.
As I sat through the ceremony and listened to the story how the couple’s met a few years ago.
I thought one’s journey is about to change.

So I decided the theme this meeting will be “Life changing moment”
Was there an event that changed you? Did you ever encounter a life changing moment?
Was it an accident? Was it a wedding? Or was it just a poster that you saw?
What is it so big deal that something have moved you?

In this week's meeting, our theme is "The Olympic Games".

The 2020 Summer Olympic Games is finally here. It will take place from July 23rd to August 8th, 2021. With the delay for a whole year and unprecedented no spectators arrangements, the games show the resilience and triumph of humanity.

I'm my honor to be your chairperson in the upcoming meeting.

Olympic Games is one of the few things that most people can agree with. All athletes compete at the relatively fair and no bias ground while the whole world cheer for them.

I volunteered at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games at the Richmond Oval. I was so enchanted by the long-track speed skaters. I found the way they skate was like an eagle, so mighty, beautiful, and elegant. I idolized our Canadian dual Olympic athletes Clara Hugh. She won medals both for long track speed skating at the winter games, and road cycling in the summer games.
