Think you have what it takes? Join us this Wednesday and be ready deliver your best 3-4 minute persuasive speech on the topic, "What I would do if I had one week left to live."

Gender Equity Awareness BCIT.

The BCIT Student Association is holding a campaign to promote gender parity and inclusion. They advocate for the right of each person to be included, valued and respected, and they envision a campus where diversity is fostered and celebrated.

The three-day campaign next week aims to create conversations and recognition of the issues faced by women on campus which act as barriers to their success at BCIT. In addition, we aim to involve and encourage men to recognize and speak up against discrimination, especially in male-dominated fields.

The campaigning effort will include educational games, social media contest, prizes and raffles, refreshments, and more. However, in order for this to happen, BCIT members each can take this opportunity to make a small, impactful change.

The campaign is in need of student volunteers! You can help at the campaign tables (during school hours Mar. 20-22), at the speaker series (Mar. 21) and the Bridging the Gender Gap workshop (Mar. 22).

The Regional Conference is Calgary was a great success with all 25 students and 2 faculty advisors who attended. This is the largest group we have ever had in quite some time! Congratulations to all of our presenters and all the other teams who competed this weekend. Enactus BCIT won “second runner-up” (third place) in the Scotiabank EcoLiving Green Challenge, Capital One Financial Education Challenge, TD Entrepreneurship Challenge Regional.
