Available awards are:
Stephen Harold Edward Herring Award - One award available at $3,600
The Craig Asmundson BPK Engagement Award - One award available at $1,900
Dr. Josephine Anthony Award in BPK - One award available at $1,500
National Bank Financial Award - Two awards at $2,800 each are available
Dr. Reza Nouri BPK Undergraduate Award - One award available at $1,600
Dr. Reza Nouri BPK Community Leadership Award - One award available at $1,300
Application Deadline: Sunday, September 15th by midnight.

We are thrilled to announce that Shefali has been honored with the CIHR Canada Graduate Scholarship for her Master’s studies! 🎓
Her research, titled “Assigning pathogenicity to neuronal Kv7.5 potassium channel variants associated with epilepsy by high throughput screening,” marks a significant step towards understanding the complexities of ion channels in epilepsy. “I am incredibly humbled to receive this scholarship,” Shefali shares. “It’s a testament to the unwavering support from my mentors, peers, and family, and it allows me to fully dedicate myself to this important research.”
This award recognizes Shefali’s commitment to advancing scientific knowledge, and we’re eager to see the impact she’ll make in the field of neuroscience. Exciting discoveries are on the way! 🔬

The Spring semester is almost over and it’s time to celebrate! We invite all BPK grads and their undergraduate lab researchers to join in on the fun so tell your undergrad researcher friends to mark their calendars as well! Per usual, appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided for the group, alcoholic drinks will be on your own tab. Plan to come out for an evening of fun and friends!

42 years ago today, Terry Fox dipped his foot in the Atlantic Ocean in St. John's, Newfoundland and began his Marathon of Hope. Previous to starting his amazing journey and hopes to find a cure for cancer, Terry was a kinesiology student and varsity basketball player at SFU.
