To Our Valued FairyTails/Lucky’s Family,

Anna and Phil here, the owners of this funny little place. It is with bittersweet emotion for us to announce that effective August 31st, the two of us will be resigning from the daycare. This was not an easy decision, but we have both decided that it is time for us to start the next chapter in our lives.
—
Through the years, we’ve made some lifelong friends with our staff, dogs, and of course, all of you. Some of you we’ve never gotten the chance to meet, some of you we’ve met a few times, some of you we’ve known for years, and some of you we’ve known for over a decade. It was because of all your trust and support that a couple friends from highschool were able to take what was just a dream all the way to winning top daycare year after year. This is still crazy to us.

We were very particular in deciding who would take our place. We needed someone who not only understands our values, ethics, and culture, but someone who also understands that FairyTails/Lucky’s is a supportive community, and not just a business. We needed someone we could trust to care about our family as much as we do. And we could not think of a better successor than the team led by Nguyen Tran and Stephen Gaskill, the owners of EmBark Daycare in Port Moody.

We have been fans of EmBark since they opened, and we have shared inspiration and ideas together about how to continuously improve the doggy daycare experience over the years. Our philosophies are very much in line, so it just felt natural and obvious that they are the right people to carry on the daycare.

Your packages will remain valid for a seamless transition, and all our same familiar staff will still be here to greet you everyday! The two of us will continue to be customers and supporters of FairyTails/Lucky’s, so we will still be seeing all of you -- this time, on the same side of the door!

This endeavour has been an absolute dream come true, and we cannot thank all of you enough. We are so grateful and proud to be a part of this family, and this is a chapter that we will remember for the rest of our lives.

Thank you to everyone who has joined us on our journey to help support Mira the Miracle Mutt! Your generous donations from our fur-well and fundraiser on May 30 at FairyTails helped Mira see a specialist who was able to provide further diagnostics and conclude a PRAA (Persistent Right Aortic Arch) diagnosis.

The good news is surgery can be performed to help Mira live a long and happy life! The not so good news is the surgery is very time sensitive and we are needing to raise additional funds to help carry Mira through. No donation is too small to help reach our goal, and every dollar, like/share, is greatly appreciated!
