On November 6, join SFU Indigenous Studies and the Centre for Indigenous Literatures, Oratures, and Media (CRILOM) for a creative writing workshop with Shoshone/Ute author and musician, Tanaya Winder, MFA, and a photovoice exhibit featuring photographs taken by the Grandchildren of Residential School Survivors across Turtle Island (Canada and the United States).
These events run in conjunction with INDG 211: Researching Residential Schools with Dr. Natahnee Winder. Responding to TRC Calls to Action, this course provides a global and interdisciplinary examination of methodology and the ongoing impacts of colonizing education on Indigenous peoples.
