Meet the Digital Dawgs!

Angela Grace Caguioa

Fun Fact About Me:
I was born in Africa

One Tip for First-Year Marketing Students:
Stay organized and never assume you have plenty of time to complete your projects and assignments. This seems like a very basic tip and it's often overlooked by a lot of students. But at BCIT if you don’t learn to manage your time properly, you are most likely going to fall behind or feel overwhelmed. Speaking from personal experience, the best thing I’ve done to help balance my school life and my personal life is to have some sort of tool to track assignments, projects, exams, deadlines etc. Notion definitely changed the game for me because I could see when assignments were due and plan when I wanted to get it done so that I could spend time with my friends and family. I highly recommend it but use whatever works best for you.

Nigel Davies

Fun Fact About Me:
I once crashed my car taking a picture of the perfect honey cruller

One Tip for First-Year Marketing Students:
Don’t make school your entire life. It’s hard and requires a lot of you, but make sure to take time for yourself and time to do things other than school. Forfeiting one small assignment or a slightly better grade can help save you from going insane!

Sebastian Anaya Issa

Fun Fact About Me:
I gave my first TED talk when I was 18 yo

One Tip for First-Year Marketing Students:
The tough times won’t last forever, but they’ll build your resilience. Just try to understand yourself during those moments and give it your all, even when things are tough.

Simran Deol

Fun Fact About Me:
I once met the Dalai Lama, he called me the tall one.

One Tip for First-Year Marketing Students:
Say goodbye to your family, the best option to prioritize is to focus on only school and worship your teachers. I'm just kidding, balance is key. If you need the extra sleep, always take it, it's really hard to perform well when you're tired. Prioritizing sleep helped me stay sane and kept my work to a standard I was happy with.

Our team aims to leverage our unique individual skills and experiences to promote the Entrepreneurship program at BCIT collectively. For one reason or another, we were drawn to the Marketing Management diploma program and chose Entrepreneurship as our specialization. By sharing parts of our personal journeys and the experiences we've had together, we hope to inspire first-year students and anyone considering the program to explore the Entrepreneurship pathway!

Marketing Management (Entrepreneurship Option), Diploma, Full-time (642CDIPMA) - BCIT 01/19/2025

As entrepreneurship students, we learn how critical it is to understand the nuances that exist in business.

As a team, our approach is simple: we don’t just plan for success - we plan to adapt and pivot, knowing that situations in business rarely go as expected and can change at any given moment. Whether it’s managing multiple projects, working with a team, or working in high-pressure situations, we’re gaining real-world skills that prepare us to adapt, innovate, and succeed in the real world.

This page aims to showcase new business minds being developed at BCIT that turn challenges into opportunities; following along can help you see business through an entrepreneurship student’s lens.
