Congratulations to BCIT alumna Stephanie Cadieux on being appointed to the Order of British Columbia. As our province’s highest honour, recipients are recognized for their extraordinary leadership, innovation, and contribution to British Columbia and beyond.

A graduate of BCIT’s Financial Planning program, Stephanie has made immense impact through her advocacy and dedication to advancing accessibility, inclusion, and equal opportunity for people with disabilities. Serving as Canada’s first Chief Accessibility Officer, Stephanie has been a champion for empowerment, leading systemic change through public policy and engagement to help build a better tomorrow.

We are proud to celebrate Stephanie and the incredible contributions she has made through her work.

Alumni Spotlight: Saboor Meherzad

From BCIT Technology Management graduate to Founder and CEO of GrowEasy Solutions, Saboor Meherzad has built a career on solving real-world business challenges through innovation. With more than two decades of experience across technology, operations, and entrepreneurship, he is developing AI-powered solutions that help small and medium-sized businesses streamline their operations and focus on customers first.

Saboor credits BCIT's applied learning environment with giving him the confidence, practical skills, and entrepreneurial mindset to succeed as a leader. This year, he will represent Canada at the 2026 G20 Young Entrepreneurs' Alliance Summit in Vienna, Austria, where he will connect with entrepreneurs from around the world and bring new ideas back to Canada's innovation ecosystem.
