Two pairs of hands, double the keys, and years of recitals! Piano duets are no easy feat, but with a great student-teacher team, we always make the magic happen. 🎹✨ Enjoy the performances featuring "Can-Can", "Pomp and Circumstance", "Carmen Overture", "Annen Polka Op.117", and "Parade of the Tin Soldiers".

First time recording the in-class rehearsal for this duet. We appreciate the learning process and will continue to polish the performance.

Even though this was the first time we rehearsed the duet on camera, we're so grateful 🙏 for everything we learned along the way. It was the student's twin sister who let the teacher know that her sister loved the Cantina Band from Star Wars. Thank you for helping to connect dots!

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback and for recognizing the importance of developing strong piano fundamentals and musical understanding. We include piano duets as part of our curriculum because they allow students to experience the joy, connection, and collaboration that music can create.

The piano duet is based on the famous "Habanera" from Carmen. With its dramatic rhythms and flowing melody, the music captures both elegance and intensity - qualities that especially resonate with this student, who is also a competitive figure skater. The expressive character and dance-like energy of the piece make it a perfect match for someone who loves performing both on the ice and at the piano.
