SARG just returned from 2014 IMFAR (International Meeting for Autism Research) in Atlanta, GA. We had a wonderful time and presented our most recent research "Exploring Attentional Strategies for Emotion Recognition in Autism Spectrum Disorders".

GREAT NEWS!!!!! We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a 2-year SSHRC Insight Development Grant for a program of research entitled “Exploring the face for emotion recognition in adolescence”. We will be examining the developmental links between emotion recognition and social competence in adolescence.

SARG is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a 5-year NSERC Discovery Grant for a program of research entitled “Mechanisms of Social Attention”. This research will examine the attentional processes involved in selecting and following the gaze of other people.

SARG has just returned from the Vision Science Society (VSS) conference in Naples, FL. We presented a poster entitled: “Exploring the left-eye bias for faces”. This research examined the tendency for observers to explore the eye in the left visual field more than the eye in the right visual field, during emotion recognition
