When you get finally get your Hi-Brown belt and have to start studying right away. 😅😂

Hi-Brown & Apprentice are distinct levels from our usual 10 week terms, and have their own specific cycles two times a year. There is much more curriculum to learn, so we have specific classes to help our students get prepared for their Black Belt testing.

Junior High-Brown classes are Tuesdays & Thursdays at 5:30pm.

Belt Promotion week here at MGBBA! One of our favourite times, mainly because we get to see the excitement of our students as they level up! 🙌👏👌

as we look back on our Black Belt Extravaganza from June, featuring one of the most entertaining & heartwarming skits we’ve ever had here at MGBBA. 🙌👏👌

Our three top Apprentices, Ms. Olivia, Ms. Nikki, & Ms. Daphne, performed a skit together about going shopping for new sparring gloves, which worked perfectly since Ms. Olivia actually did need new gloves. 🥊

The skit had comedy, music, action, and a heartwarming ending where Ms. Nikki & Ms. Daphne surprised Ms. Olivia during the end of the skit with a new pair of pink sparring gloves! 😃🥹😊

This was actually Ms. Nikki’s & Ms. Daphne’s plan from the very inception of this skit idea, so it was amazing to see it all come together in real time so genuinely.

Great training partners are hard to find, and this just goes to show the impact you can have on your friends you meet on the mats. 🙏

Check out a few shots from our media filming day we had after classes this past Saturday! 🙌📸😁

Our MGBBA Team invited a videographer to capture some content for future media & promotions, so we asked a few of our Juniors students to come participate to help us out!

We had a lot of fun making cool poses, going through techniques, and even broke some boards, all captured for possible content in the future. For many of our students, this was their very first experience doing any kind of filming for media, so they learned a lot about what it takes to be “on set”. 🎬

A huge thank you to all of our students who came in to help us with this project! Great job by everyone to represent our MGBBA team! 👏👏👏

The Apprentice group has a daunting challenge for their fitness requirement for Black Belt Testing aka the Hundreds; 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, and 100 deep squats. The new cycle has officially started this week, so practice starts right away!

as our own MGBBA Instructor Ms. Keke took her last class this Saturday before she heads off to school in the Fall!

We had an awesome group for her farewell class, with a lot of fun had during & after, including some freestyle sparring rounds to end the day. 🥊

A huge shout out to Ms. Keke for all her hard work at the Dojo and being such an amazing Instructor & student! We are definitely going to miss you! 🙌👏👌
