Our first-year students toured police detachments across the Lower Mainland today. It was a great hands-on opportunity for them to learn about how our two industries interact. Thanks North Vancouver RCMP, Vancouver Police Department, Coquitlam RCMP, and Surrey RCMP for being such supportive hosts!

It's a time of change for everyone and we are rolling with the punches here at BCIT Journalism! We converted to an online format during the COVID-19 pandemic. Students like Caden Fanshaw, Ali Pitargue, and Mat Pereira are working from home using mobile gear and digital tools to continue storytelling. More than ever before, they are seeing the critical importance of Journalism.
