FINAL REPORT CARDS will be distributed on Wednesday, June 29, in the Cafeteria, as per the following schedule:
Grade 8 09:15 – 09:45 am
Grade 9 09:50 – 10:20 am
Grade 10 10:25 – 11:05 am
Grade 11 11:10 – 11:40 am
Grade 12
11:45 – 12:15 pm
Students attending Summer Session will require their Report Card prior to July 6, 2016.
Any unclaimed Report Cards will not be mailed home!
If you will not be attending someone else may pick them up for you but ONLY WITH LETTER from you and a form of identification.
BEYOND OVERDUE - ATTENTION GRADE 12’s - 90 HOUR WORK EXPERIENCE STUDENTS. Don't forget to hand in your project immediately!
Please return all outstanding work experience paperwork to the Career Programs office - marks are being processed as we speak!!

Congrats to Amy Lu winner of this year's Words Anthology cover art!
In the spirit of the Awards Assemblies held early this week, I'd like to have the following students recognized in their achievements in the various science competitions held this school year... I am very proud of their achievements in the science competitions. These students spend hours outside of class time to work on their projects. Please congratulate them when you see them!!
Alice Meng (gr.10) won the Best Overall Alum Crystal at the Crystal Growing Contest last November. She received a $30 gift certificate for Crystalworks.
Our Senior Team was 0.10 points away from placing the top 5 teams at the Kwantlen Science Challenge last November. These team members have been participating at this annual science challenge since they were grade 8. They are graduating members: Matthew Takeuchi, Alexandra Zaborniak, Ryan Lu, Nathan Schenkeveld, Gillian Xu, Steve Yuan, George Zhang and Matthew Schwab.
The following students won various awards at the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair in April...
Sophie Liu & Angela Wilks (gr.8) won a Bronze medal for their project: Brilliant Biodegrading
Surat Singh (gr.11) won the BC Greenhouse Growers' Association Award + $$ for his project: The Role of Plant Hormones in Organogenesis and the Development of Wild Type and Transgenic Plants
Aditya Naithani & Brayden Wen (gr.8) won an Honourable Mention Award for their project: Effect of Temperature on Quadcopter Battery Life
Dylon Li & Boya Yang (gr.8) won an Honourable Mention Award for their project: The Optimization of the Bus System
The following student teams won various awards at the Junior Physics & Engineering Competition at KPU in April...
The grade 8 team: Angela Wilks, Sophie Liu, Minchan Kim, Aditya Naithani and Boya Yang won first place at the Mystery Event in which they built the tallest tower made of gummy candy and toothpicks to support a 50 gram mass. They came 5th place overall at the competition
The grade 9 team: Nathaniel Bostick, Timothy Chen, Tibo Cheung, Atindra Sahu, Allen Wu, Charlie Yu and Rebecca Jin won first place at the Milk Jug Event in which they built a vehicle powered by a 2L jug of water. They also won first place overall at the competition. We are waiting for the trophy to be delivered to our school with their names engraved!!
