BMSS Student Council meets Mondays at 3:15 PM in the Multipurpose Room. We aim to create fun experiences and a positive school environment despite COVID-19.
We are a group of students from all grades and interest groups, representative of the Burnaby Mountain Secondary student body. All council efforts serve the school and the students, through school events, weekly meetings, and cooperation with other student-led organizations. Student Council Members 2021/2022

🌟Hey Lions🌟Are you ready for the school year to end? We will be having our annual year-end carnival on Thursday, June 6th! On Thursday, the bell schedule will be different. School will go from 9-12, and the carnival will go from 12-3! There will be food, games, and activities for you to enjoy, including snow cones, popcorn, cotton candy, a photo booth, a softball game, and many more! We hope to see you there! 🎪

Are you interested in taking your leadership to the district level? The Burnaby District Student Advisory Council or DSAC is looking to form next year’s crew for the 2024-2025 school year! DSAC is a great way to get involved within the district and meet other leaders from other Burnaby High Schools! You will be part of a team full of like minded, driven, and passionate leaders who strive to connect the burnaby district through district wide events emphasizing interconnectedness and positive contributions to the community. Reminder that the BMSS Student Council Scholarship Application is due on April 24, 2024!
This award is offered to graduating students who will be attending a post secondary program and who have made outstanding contributions to the school and student body for a considerable amount of time. Applicants must have demonstrated a commitment to developing their skills as a student leader, demonstrated outstanding school spirit and have consistently demonstrated the values of respect, excellence and responsibility as outlined in our school motto.

Monday: Spring Singing
Karaoke in the lower commons! Sing your favorite hits!
Tuesday: Spring Finding
Gold coins will be hidden around the school. Trade them into the upper commons at lunch for candy and a ticket to the prize draw! The last day to hand in the coins is Friday!
Wednesday: Spring Eating:
Cake eating contest at lunch in the lower commons.
Thursday:Spring Bling
Wear your shiniest clothes and sparkel ✨️
Friday: Spring Spelling
Spelling bee in power commons at lunch. The theme will be Spring 🌸

Hey Burnaby Mountain, here are the performances for the second half of Lion’s Got Talent, on this Thursday, March 14! Doors open at 6:00pm, and if you aren’t able to buy tickets at lunch, you will be able to at the entrance. $3 for one ticket and $5 for two!
There will be two acts that will be sent to Burnaby’s Got Talent, a district-wide talent show happening on April 6th at the Michael J Fox theatre. The judges’ winner and the audience-voted winner will represent Burnaby Mountain! We will be selling BGT tickets for $5 each at the event!
We hope to see you all there!
