This might be the best Ethiopia we've ever roasted.

Grown by smallholders in Buku Sayasa, Guji zone — 1900-2300 masl, heirloom cultivars. The cherries are hand-sorted, cold-fermented for 24 hrs, then sun-dried on raised beds for 3-4 weeks at EDN's Chelchele station.

Small farms. Traditional organic practices. A processor doing right by growers in a region cooperatives haven't reached. This is what traceability actually looks like.

Employee spotlight ✨

This week we’re celebrating Gabriella, the accounts manager who keeps Mogiana running smoothly behind the scenes!

Here’s a fun one: Gabriella can close and open her left eye while keeping her right eye open, just like a doll. It’s harder than it looks. 🤣

Outside of work, she’s a proud mom to her son Joaquim. From accounts to operations, Gabriella’s hands are in almost everything we do here, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have her on the team. Thank you, Gabriella! 🫶🏻

Yesterday, we welcomed the team from To Live For Bakery to the roastery for a morning of all things coffee.

We walked through our roasting process, ran a cupping game so they could taste some of our coffees side by side, and talked about what makes each one special.
