SFU initiative leads new approaches to wildfire resilience in Canada Year after year, B.C.’s wildfires are posing a growing challenge, with fires burning hotter, larger and more intensely than ever before. Landscapes are being decimated, communities are threatened, resources are stretched, and smoke frequently blankets parts of B.C. and beyond in the summer months.

SFU will be exploring new frontiers thanks to a $2 million endowment from the Trottier Family Foundation to support astronomy research and outreach at SFU. Learn more!
