It can be difficult to avoid the fast fashion industry, especially when the brands are so widely advertised. The best and most affordable way is to buy from thrift stores and possible support local shops!

The 2019 SFU audit has shown that the SFU community continues to incorrectly sort their trash. Ensure that you are taking time and care to throw away your waste in the appropriate bins.

UNEP reports show that Southeast Asia produces much of plastic waste in oceans- and that steps must be taken to counteract it. Leaders of Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN) founded a program meant to combat marine debris. By 2025, Thailand plans to ban types of plastics most commonly littered in oceans.

Experts agree that without big reductions in China's emissions, the world cannot win the fight against climate change. Though there have been promising developments, continuation is KEY!

At the global climate change summit, pledged an emissions cap on our oil and gas sector. This is a great step, but more is needed from Canada and the rest of the world to keep temperatures from increasing more than 1.5 degrees.
