🌱 As the Summer Solstice approaches, members of the BCIT community are beginning to celebrate through learning, connection, and shared experiences.

From community planting and sacred medicine teachings to First Nations songs and shared food, the Growing Together gathering brought people together to learn about Indigenous knowledge, culture, and food security.

For many Indigenous Nations, the Summer Solstice is a time of gathering, renewal, gratitude, and celebration. June 21 is also recognized as National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada, honouring the histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in cultivating community and connection. 🌿💛

DYK❓Just 10 minutes of interacting with animals can boost mood and help you feel more relaxed and connected. 🐿️🦜

If you heard bird calls echoing through the SE2 building earlier this week, you weren’t imagining things 👀 Thanks to Wild Education BC, we had some furry and feathered guests stop by campus.

To all our students: we hope these cute encounters gave you a chance to take a break from exams and final projects. For those who are finished with your semester, congrats! 🌟
