The full-scale invasion launched by Russia on February 24, 2022 brought terror, death, and destruction to Ukraine. But against the odds, Ukrainians have resisted not only militarily, but also on the cultural front, with an explosion of creativity. “In short, I show how tax has come to be seen as a form of white property, undergirded by white possessive anti-Indigenous racial logics. This in turn helps to constitute fiscalized racism—how racist ideas and practices are articulated through seemingly objective and benign fiscal concerns.” - Kyle Willmott (SFU Sociology & Anthropology)
