Why does a certain song sound so different? Why are some songs faster and some slower? What's the difference between a guitar and a koto?
In this 1-hour introductory workshop, children will have the opportunity to dive into the world of music by exploring musical genres and instrument from around the world in an engaging, game-based format. Topics covered include: famous composers, music genres, and different types of instruments.
Who: Grade 2-5, little-to-no musical experience
When: Friday August 27th, 1pm to 2pm PST

Looking for fun, affordable, and safe activities for your kids this spring break? On Thursday March 25 from 1-2pm, Every Child Deserves Music is hosting a FREE online music introductory workshop for kids in Grade 2-4. The workshop, "Decoding Music" introduces kids to fundamental musical concepts in an engaging, game-based format to foster excitement about the wonderful world of music. No musical experience neccessary!

9/10 children want to learn a musical instrument, but many do not have the opportunity or means to do so. Our upcoming spring break workshop "Decoding Music" is free, online, and accessible to all children in grade 2-4, so EVERYONE can have the chance to learn music.
