Among other yearly events the TTCS hosts a weekend of music, food, culture and dancing at BC’s hottest festival party: Caribbean Days Festival!

The Trinidad & Tobago Cultural Society of BC is a non-profit organization that presents the Caribbean Days Festival in order to raise awareness of Caribbean culture in BC. The TTCS is dedicated to providing cross cultural understanding, acceptance and interaction between peoples of diverse nationalities and heritage through their art, their music and their respective talents and abilities. Membership in the TTCS of BC is open to people of all nationalities, color and creed similar to what one would expect to find in the makeup of the people of Trinidad & Tobago, and in many of the other islands of the Caribbean. Over the years, the TTCS has sponsored a number of social and cultural initiatives, such as Senior's outings, Youth development workshops, and provision of bursaries, aid, computers and supplies to schools, hospitals and other beneficiaries in Trinidad & Tobago and the Caribbean. Each last week in July, the Trinidad & Tobago Cultural Society of BC presents the Caribbean Days Festival. This event has drawn a crowd of exuberant fun-lovers to North Vancouver's Waterfront Park for a weekend of parading, dining, socializing (liming) and dancing in the sunshine. This is a weekend of tropical rhythm, cuisine, carnival and culture as only the Caribbean can offer. Over the years, the Festival has grown into the largest Caribbean event on the local calendar -- and with tens of thousands of attendees, possibly the largest cultural event of its type in BC, period. This year, 2022, Caribbean Days Festival will be moving to the Town Center Park in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. The setting is a large green space with the famous Lafarge lake within its setting. Caribbean Days Festival is free to attend, is open to all ages, is wheelchair accessible and close to public transportation. Information about participating as a vendor, volunteer, parade band or attendee is available at www.caribbeandays.ca.

ALL ABOARD THE SOCA TRAIN! 🚆🎶

The journey begins in Vancouver & Victoria, BC as i-Land Fest 2026 kicks off the first stop on the Western Canada Caribbean Festival Tour!

This year, we're proud to spotlight and celebrate the incredible talent emerging from Canada's soca scene. As part of the Soca Train initiative, we're intentionally highlighting Canadian-based soca artists and providing a platform for homegrown talent to shine alongside established Caribbean performers. You'll see many of these artists not only on the i-Land Fest stage, but across the festival stages of our Soca Train partners throughout the summer.

Our first lineup includes:

🔥 Oozeela – Edmonton-born Zambian-Dominican artist bringing conscious lyrics, island energy, and undeniable stage presence.

🔥 Miguel Maestre & This Is Kash – Toronto-based Trinidadian soca artists representing the strength of Canada's growing soca movement.

🔥 Lil Bitts – International soca powerhouse from Trinidad & Tobago, bringing her signature energy and Carnival hits to Vancouver Island.

🔥 Dawg E Slaughter – Trinidad-born, Toronto-based artist, DJ, and entertainer known for delivering pure vibes wherever he performs.
