本周末是長周末，新安課後小學堂整理出兩個Burnaby本地的有趣活動，可以帶孩子走走看看，寓教於樂。

1)
本拿比美術館（Burnaby Art Gallery）本周四開始有新展覽囉！主題為當代藝術家Hana Amani與Audie Murray充滿魔幻童趣的作品，肯定會讓孩子們看得目不轉睛。

時間：11月10日開始
地點：Burnaby Art Gallery (6344 Deer Lake Ave)

本週六，菲沙河探索中心（Fraser River Discovery Centre）在中央公園（Central Park）舉辦親子活動，通過藝術項目和科學實驗等等，讓學生們認識菲沙河流域周圍不同地區的特色。

父母可以帶著孩子，一起使用地圖和指南針，在公園裡面一起享受探險的樂趣。

時間：11月12日中午12:30至下午3點
地點：Central Park本拿比中央公園

美國發展心理學教授Carol Dweck認為，教育及教養最重要的一環就是要幫助孩子從錯誤中學習，並將吸收的知識做正確的運用。

即使學生在學習的過程中受到挫折，但我們應該多鼓勵孩子不要退縮，多加嘗試，藉此培養他們觀察、修正、記憶的能力。當他們從錯誤中學習的經驗越多，便會越來越願意去嘗試以及學習了。
