So proud of our high schoolers!
Our students recently headed out on retreat, and before they even arrived, they were already making an impression! During the ride to Nanoose Bay, both staff and fellow passengers commented on how respectful and kind our students were. The purser on the ferry gave Deer Lake School a shout out over the PA system thanking us for being incredibly courteous and respectful guests.
We love hearing things like this! Way to represent our school community! You all make us so proud. What a great way to kick off an awesome retreat!

❤️ Every step counts
Our Deer Lake family was on the move!
K-12 students, staff, and parents walked, ran, and skipped their way around Deer Lake Park in honour of an incredible Canadian hero — Terry Fox.
Together, as the DLS family, we’re raising funds and awareness in the fight against cancer. https://schools.terryfox.ca/139712
